アルフォンスの日常生活と冒険を描いたグニラ・ベリストロムの作品は、50年前に初めて出版されてからその人気は変わることはありません。
アルフォンス・オーベリシリーズを読んで育った人の多くは、自身の子どもや孫と共有することで、物語を新たに体験するようになりました。 アルフォンスはスーパーヒーローでもおとぎ話の人物でもありません。読者と同じように、彼は普通の子どもなのです。そうであるからこそアルフォンスが私たちの幼少期の大切な一部になったのです。
