In January 2022, Swedish passports and national ID cards will have new security details and a new design. If you have a valid passport or national ID card, there is no need to apply for a new one. The application fee remains unchanged.
Due to this change, the Swedish Embassy in Singapore will not be able to accept any new passport applications from 23rd December until the 28th December. It might take slightly longer than usual to receive the new passport during this period.
The new passports and i ID cards will take effect from 1 January 2022.
Current passport and ID card are valid until existing expiration date.
