Welcome to the Embassy of Sweden in Manila

Sweden has had diplomatic relations with the Philippines since 1947. The Embassy’s main task is to represent Sweden and in many ways strengthen the relations between Sweden and the Philippines. Our activities are focused on promoting trade and investment exchange with the Philippines. The Embassy would also like to increase cooperation in other areas such as political affairs, culture, research and education and contribute to a positive image of Sweden.

The Embassy provides consular services to Swedish citizens living in or visiting the Philippines. Note, however, that it is not possible to apply for ordinary Swedish passports at the Embassy. The Embassy will only be able to issue emergency passports. For ordinary passports we must refer applicants to other embassies in the region.

The Embassy does not process visa applications or residence & work permits. For Schengen visas we refer to the Embassy of Sweden in Bangkok through VFS Manila. For residence & work permits we refer to the Embassy of Sweden in Bangkok. Click here for more information on applications for work permits and residence permits.
