The event will be held for 184 days from April 13 to October 13, 2025 on the artificial island of Yumeshima in Osaka City, with the theme of ”Designing Future Society for Our Lives”.
Sweden’s participation in Expo 2025 will be showcasing solutions to meet the challenges of today through innovation and sustainable solutions as well as strengthening bilateral trade and investments. It will also give us the opportunity to show Swedish lifestyle and creativity to the broader Japanese public. Approximately 28 million visitors are expected to attend the World Expo, of which 1.7 million are expected to visit the Nordic Pavilion.
Sweden has diplomatic relations with almost all States in the world. It has embassies and consulates in around half of these. Sweden's foreign representation consists of approximately 100 missions abroad and 350 honorary consulates.
