Consulate-General Hong Kong,

Local time 9:30 PM

About us

Welcome to the Consulate-General of Sweden to Hong Kong and Macau.

Sweden first opened an honorary consulate in Hong Kong on 3 June 1853, marking the beginning of our official presence in the city. It became a career consulate in 1954, and subsequently elevated into a consulate general in 1968. Today, our mission is to represent Sweden and the Swedish Government in Hong Kong and Macau, while actively promoting Swedish interests.

The Consulate engages with exchanges between Sweden and Hong Kong, as well as with promoting the Swedish image abroad. Another important part of our mission is to offer consular services to Swedish nationals, such as the issuance of passports and Swedish ID-cards.

Ms Louise Bergholm has been the Consul General of Sweden to Hong Kong and Macau since August 2023.
