On April 7, Swedish Young Professionals organized its annual Swedish Career Fair at the Four Seasons hotel in Shanghai. The Consulate General was represented with a booth at the fair, and Consul General Lisette Lindahl gave opening speech.
17 Swedish companies from different industries participated in the fair as exhibitors. Among them were H&M, Volvo Cars, EF and Atlas Copco, to name just a few. Representatives from MPS, Semcom and H&M also gave presentations on topics like starting a career in China, attracting talent as an employer and sustainability. Several hundred Chinese and international job seekers visited the fair, which lasted for one day.
The annual career fair provides a platform for Swedish employers and job seeking talents in Shanghai to meet and exchange ideas and opportunities. This year the fair focused on the theme Future of Sweden. When it comes to technical, social and organizational development, Sweden is internationally known for pushing boundaries and exploring new territory, and so are Swedish companies
