Accept all Only criticalWith girls and boys clad in white full-length gowns carrying candles and singing songs, the Consulate General's Lucia celebration was open to the public for the fifth year in Shanghai on December 7.
Arguably one of the most Swedish traditions was celebrated with a Lucia procession consisting of the Swedish choir and children from Shanghai Yangjing Experimental Primary School at Jing’an Kerry Centre. Meanwhile a “Luciafika” – a traditional Swedish Christmas refreshment break, including gingerbread, saffron-flavored sweet buns (lussekatter) and Swedish mulled wine (glögg), was served to an audience of more than 400 people.
Sweden has diplomatic relations with almost all States in the world. It has embassies and consulates in around half of these. Sweden's foreign representation consists of approximately 100 missions abroad and 350 honorary consulates.
