On March 18th, the Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Shanghai will hold a Women's Security Forum at the Shanghai Power Station of Art. Lisette Lindahl, Consul General of Sweden in Shanghai, will deliver a speech at the forum.
This forum is a special event for the 2019 International Women's Day and is one in the series of activities for female leaders at the two ends of the Belt and Road. Among the speakers are Richard Krpac, Consul General of the Czech Republic in Shanghai, Dr. Christine Althauser, Consul General of Germany in Shanghai, Mr. Weldon Epp, Consul General of Canada in Shanghai, and Dr. Kateřina imáčková, Judge of the Constitutional Court of the Czech Republic. Promoters will give speeches and discussions on the theme “Global movement on women empowerment: eradicating domestic violence and discrimination against women”.
The photography project “The Mother of Escape” by Czech photographer Tomáš Třeštík will also be on display, and a self-defence workshop will be held.
