As grand finale of our celebration of the Swedish filmmaker Ingmar Bergman's 100th anniversary in Shanghai, the Consulate General is organizing a Bergman seminar on Sunday December 16 at Hotel Equatorial.
At the seminar, speakers from Sweden and China will share with the audience how they view Bergman from various perspectives. The speakers are Swedish film director and writer Stig Björkman, who has interviewed Bergman and produced a couple of documentaries on him, Swedish photographer Bengt Wanselius, who worked with Bergman for twenty years at the Royal Dramatic Theatre in Sweden, Chinese film director Wang Xiaoshuai, whose films have won awards at Berlin and Cannes International Film Festivals, and Chinese theatre director and playwright Guo Shixing, who has directored a Chinese verison of Bergman's TV miniseries "Scenes from a Marriage" on the stage. The audience will have opportunities to interact with the speakers and ask questions. At the end of the seminar, we will show Björkman's documentary "...But Film Is My Mistress".
