Information for visitors to the Embassy

All visitors to the Embassy of Sweden in Canberra must have a pre-booked appointment and be able to identify themselves at the gate with a valid identification. Only the person with an appointment can be let in. Parking is available outside in the surrounding streets of the Embassy. Please arrive maximum 15 minutes prior to your appointment.

For emergency consular assistance to Swedes abroad outside of the Embassy’s office hours, please call the Embassy’s switchboard and press “0” to be transferred to the Ministry for Foreign Affairs' consular emergency service in Sweden “UD-jouren”. The Ministry for Foreign Affairs' consular emergency service is staffed 24 hours a day, every day of the year, and can also be reached from abroad on the direct number +46 8 405 50 05.
