Contact and Opening Hours

In general, you will only be asked to contact the Embassy after you have a case with the Swedish Migration Agency.

It is recommended that you first read the information available on the Swedish Migration Agency's website. There you will find information about which Swedish mission abroad you should contact in matters of residence permits and Schengen visas.

Book an appointment for residence permit interview, submitting biometrics/passport check, collect permit card or decision: Book an appointment - Sweden Abroad 

Appointments for visitor's permits will be available at the Migration agency's webpage every Thursday with start the 1st of May 2025. If there are no available slots to book you will have to wait until the Embassy releases new slots.      

Please note: Only applicants that have an booked appointment can visit the Embassy. Applicants without an booking will not be accepted or given permission to visit the Embassy.

Please make sure that when you are contacting the Embassy that you clearly indicate the purpose of your contact with the Embassy in the subject line of your e-mail. Start your sentence with one of the following key words:

  • Residence permit
  • Work permit
  • Student permit
  • Visitors permit

Phone hours for migration related questions:
The primary mode of communication between the Embassy and the public/applicant is by e-mail: ambassaden.islamabad-visum@gov.se. Please contact the Embassy's migration section by telephone only if it is urgent. The Migration section is open Mondays to Thursdays between 14:00 to 15:00 hours. Our telephone number is: 051-2072680.
