Before your visit to Sweden, it is important to know what you may and may not bring with you when entering the country.
The Swedish Customs service is responsible for monitoring all goods, both commerical and private, which are brought in and out of Sweden. This includes weapons, alcohol, tobacco products, plants, food stuffs, medicines, and other commodities.

The rules on importing dogs, cats and ferrets are intended to prevent the spread of rabies in Sweden. The rules are set by the European Union. If you are planning to bring your pet with you when visiting Sweden, you should be familiar with the regulations of the Swedish Board of Agriculture.
